‘Anne Frank: A History for Today’ opens at Museum of Fine Arts

MONTREAL – In light of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts has launched a new, educational exhibit called Anne Frank: a History for Today.

This year also marks 70 years since the famous 15-year-old author of Anne Frank’s diary was killed. The Montreal exhibit was organized in collaboration with the Anne Frank House of Amsterdam and the Montreal Holocaust Museum. In parallel, the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde will be launching the play Le Journal d’Anne Frank.

Anne Frank: a History for Today includes 30 illustrated panels featuring the life of Anne Frank and the chronology of the Holocaust. There are also 12 photos of Auschwitz on display, taken by Montreal photographer Laszlo Mezei. The exhibit will last 20 days, closing on January 28, 2015.
